Justin Howard, a native of Middlesboro, Kentucky, has dedicated his life to journalism and storytelling. A graduate of Middlesboro High School's Class of 2006, his passion for media and communications was evident from an early age. At just 13-years-old, he began working with Tazewell Speedway, designing their website and later advancing to the role of Public Relations Director. His responsibilities included submitting weekly race reports to The Daily News, where his writing caught the attention of the managing editor. Recognizing his talent and dedication, The Daily News offered him a staff writer position even before his 18th birthday.

For approximately seven years, Justin worked at The Daily News while simultaneously pursuing higher education. His passion for journalism remained unwavering as he honed his skills in writing, reporting, and media production.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Justin is a devoted uncle to two nephews and a niece, whom he cherishes beyond measure. His love for family and community fuels his commitment to delivering reliable, high-quality news.

Determined to continue his journalistic mission, Justin founded Tri-State's The Source, a platform dedicated to providing in-depth, accurate, and engaging news coverage for the region. As the sole operator of The Source, he manages every aspect of the publication—from research and reporting to content creation and distribution. With a steadfast belief in his vision, Justin is confident that Tri-State's The Source will become the premier destination for news and information in the area.
